Meth is consumed by women as much as it is consumed by men. The ratio between women and men meth users is 1 : 1. There are various surveys undertaken which proves that women gets as much attracted to meth as men does. This is because meth is used as a weight loss tool by women and also as a tool to control symptoms of depression. There are large numbers of women who have children and are meth abusers who are afraid to ask for assistance as they fear that their children will be taken away. They also fear that they will not be able to take care of their children. Punishments for abusing meth in various societies are strict. Hence women with children need a lot of extra care and support. Various outpatient support programmes are undertaken by pregnant women and women with small children. 24 hours monitoring is required. Staffs are appointed to keep them in observations so that they do not relapse.

Women during their pregnancy often relapse due to meth usage. Patients and clinical staffs sometimes behave rudely and do not show sympathy to these women. This is wrong. It is needed to put them in intensive care as long as they do not show symptoms of recovery.
